![]() | Dr. Harold Horwitz graduated from Union College in Schnectady, N.Y. annd Tufts Medical School in Boston. After spending two years at Rhode Island Hospital training in Internal Medicine, he went to the University of Michigan to complete this training. Following two years of military service he went to Duke University for a Rheumatology Fellowship. He has practiced in Rhode Island since 1975. He is currently Chief of Rheumatology at Miriam Hospital. He has been very active in the Arthritis Foundation and has served as its president. |
![]() | Dr. Marven Leftick graduated from McGill Medical School in Montreal, Canada. Did residency and Rheumatology fellowship training at the University of Chicago. Is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology in both Canada and the United States. Practiced for 17 years in Ottawa, Canada and then spent 2 years in Illinois before moving to Providence in 2000 to join Rheumatology Associates. Is married and the father of 3 children. Enjoys seeing people with general and inflammatory joint and muscle pain as well as osteoporosis. |
![]() | Dr. Soscia is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. Graduating from Warren Alpert Medical at Brown University in 1987, and completing her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Rheumatology at the UMASS Medical Center, Worcester in 1992. Serving as Attending Physician at UMASS University Hospital and Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, where she engaged in patient care, clinical research, and teaching residents, medical students and rheumatology trainees. Dr. Soscia is experienced in a wide variety of musculoskeletal and autoimmune diseases, and offers expertise in management of patients with Systemis Lupus Erythematosus, Vasculitis and Scleroderma. Dr. Soscia was born and raised in Rhode Island. She is looking forward to seeing patients at Rheumatology Associates. Our physicians Dr. Harold Horwitz MD, Dr. John Conte MD, and Dr. Marvin Leftick are proud to welcome Dr. Patricia Soscia MD to the practice. Dr. Soscia MD will evaluating new patients, existing patients, and meeting the needs of our emergency patients. She is available three days a week to provide care and management for all of our patients Rheumatic Diseases and condition.

| Dr. Chan graduated from medical school knowing without a doubt that she wanted to be a rheumatologist someday. She proceeded to complete her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Connecticut in 2007 and her Rheumatology Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts in 2009. Apart from general rheumatology, she has a special interest in osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. She moved to Providence in September of 2009 to join the the practice and is loving it! |
